Import statements with AI

Import bank and card statements into Bordity from CSV, Excel, PDF or a photo. AI reads the file, flags duplicates and suggests categories.

Steps

  1. Open Import

Go to Import and choose the account the statement belongs to.

  2. Add the file

Drop a CSV, TSV, Excel (.xlsx), PDF or a photo or screenshot (PNG, JPG, WebP) of up to 10 MB.

  3. Review the rows

Check dates, amounts and suggested categories. Rows Bordity already has are marked as duplicates and left unticked.

  4. Add them

Choose Add transactions. Only the ticked rows are saved.

How the reading works

For spreadsheets and CSV files, the AI works out which column is the date, the description and the amount, and Bordity then reads every row the same way. For PDFs and photos, the AI reads the transactions directly. Either way you see everything before it is saved.

Your file is not kept

The file is deleted from our servers as soon as it has been read. Only the rows you keep become transactions.

Monthly allowance

Each uploaded file counts as one import. Free includes 5 a month and Plus 100. The count resets on the first day of each month (UTC).
